When I was in middle school we had about 36 clarinets and about a hundred people in all! Now it's still a little outrageous, but I can live with it. In high school, we have about 13 or 14 clarinets and 79 in all.
There is 9 clarinets in my band this year. Im in 7th grade. I am 1st chair and I have been since I started JR High. YaY!!! I am the best clarinet player in my school and is been that way since I started. I am better then the people that have more experience. Everyone tells me that I make clarinet seem like a cool hardcore instrument when its really not. The reason they say that is cuz I play that horn like there is no tomorrow. What can i say to them? Im a kick ass clarinetist... thats all... no biggie right?
we have perhaps 60 soprano ("Bb")clarinet players in my high school, divided amongst 5 bands(12ish in symphonic for sure, the other bands I'm guesstimating.) the marching band clarinet section is generally between 20 and 30 people in the 218ish strong marching band.
When called for first chair will play Eb sopranino.
There is perhaps 10 bass clarinets, and 2 contras.
We have about 220 in our school band, and I'd say we have 30 clarinets in marching band. During concert band there's about 40 because some people (like me) double sax for marching band.
Well Hi... our band is tiny this year umm like 30-40.. i think maybe a bit more but only..... ...... 4 CLARINETS and 2 don't even play..... yeah Im chair though.. although the music is soo easy

Do you happen to live in San Antonio, TX?
Anyway, my band in total is about 200 with maybe 25-30 clarinets. There are three bands, honors being the best. There are five in the top band and I don't know about the lower bands cuz i really don't want to count off the top of my head right now. (too much h/w!)
Your band reminds me of this one band in my district. Their band is HUGE and that's probably one of the main reasons why we cant beat them. At least we have a better foot ball team. Oh well, enough of me complaining.
