Hi everyone. My husband found a Selmer signet 100 at a thrift store today for $20.00. Neither of us play clarinet. (I`m a flute player). Does anyone know how to tell how old the clarinet is? Any helpful details will be greatly appreciated.

I own a Selmer Signet and it is my primary horn. It`s about 50-55 years old and it belonged to my grandfather. They`re great instruments, so you found a really great catch! About 4 years ago, I had my grandfather`s fixed and re-corked and it sounds great even today.

would you be interested in selling your clarinet, I am looking for my daughter, she was told to get a wood clarinet to be moved to the Honor Band at her school and we can`t really afford anything fancy.
God Bless
