Well, considering you posted your question on the clarinet forum, most of the people are probably going to say bass clarinet.

If you really want a fair answer, post the same question on the bassoon forum.

However, I think bassoon's rock!

Is that a joke? Bass Clarinet may be a supplement to the bassoon part, but that's ALL it is. Bassoon defnately soounds richer, is more challenging, and has a much more impressive range in terms of sound.

agreed. Bassoon definately wins.
However, I guess bass clarinet could be kinda cool. =D
