I really need your help. I have a serious problem with my oboe that suddenly appeared and I need it urgently for tomorrow morning, and there's no one living near me that can fix my oboe, maybe one of you guys can help. I would really appreciate it.
my oboe is ok on it's higher notes such as B A G F and E, but low and high D, plus low C and low C sharp are not working and whenever I try to play these notes, I just get a weird sound resembling a train engine and a mighty pressure from the oboe. The weird thing is although these notes don't work, low and high E flat are working just fine. being on the same part of the oboe such as D, C, and C sharp I would expect these notes not to work. If you have any idea what the problem might be, please help me, or give me something. anything will help.
Thanks.

Try asking your question on the following Oboe BBoard.

It sounds like your Ed key is out of adjustment.... I'm not an expert on adjusting oboes at all and I do not recommend going at your oboe with a screw driver without know what you are doing. But that sounds like a simple turn of a screw, pad sealing, air leak fix.

I had a similar problem until I showed it to my instructor... all it took was 5 minutes with a screw driver finding out which keys didn't work like they should and tightening or loosening them until it was right.
I can get all my notes now.
