I just started doing dynamics on oboe...
And was wondering if anyone had any tips on dynamics other than blowing harder and softer...

well, you want to open your embouchure more when louder or else you really won't get that loud, only sharper.
and when playing softer, you want to tighten your embouchure... not as much up and down, but with the sides of your mouth. always go for an embouchure thats round, like you are whistling
