well, seeing as how the oboe forum is completely DEAD , i thought we should have some sort of memorial for it. i mean seriously poeple! we ve gone almost a week before without anyone making any posts! at least we had a couple people post today!
So anyway, back to the point, anyone who thinks that oboists should have a place to come a congregate (if thats what u would call it when ur online) should come and say so. maybe one of these days we can revive this lifeless forum.
its sort of the whole "clap if u believe in fairies" kinda thing (im assuming that at some point in their life everyone has seen peter pan - i had to watch it the other day when i was baby-sitting lol lol) all u have to do is post and the forum will survive. simple as that.
Yeah I definetly <3 being able to talk about oboe stuff. Cuz u know, not all friends want to hear u blabber away about oboe stuff, they just don't see how interesting it is:D
... holds hand up ... hey, I'm at the back of the room ... waves madly ... Check out my "Six Metamorphoses" thread. http://www.8notes.com/f/27_230171.asp
its kinda funny... my parents didnt care if i went on utube or anything but i had a hard time convincing them that i wasnt going to be handing out my address to people online. i just begged a lot and eventually it got so annoying that she finally caved in and let me join forums (like our lovely little community here) and myspace and stuff.
does anyone want to talk about music?.. i really don't have anything to post about. not that anyone has answered to them anyway! haha. i personally like michael torke's javelin and run. has anyone heard or played them? what about eric whitacre's october?! AWESOME OBOE PART!
<Added>
well i think october's oboe part is good.. the solos are good i know that much. haha i'm praising a piece i've never played! ha
<Added>
aadding again. i uploaded a score to my page if anyone cares. i'm still trying to figure out how to get a recording on tehre too so you can hear it
life! yes! i've been on all day... and NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING!
<Added>
i honestly don't think it's gonig to pick back up. the oboe forum has died, and unless we can revive it.. i don't think much is going to happen for a long, long time. it could also be that since it's nicer out in some parts of the world that people are enjoying it instead of sitting on the computer talking about the oboe.. just a thought though.
i dont like being on the computer all day, i'd rather do other stuff.
its not that no one posts we just dont have that many people
at least we aren't like the poor bassoon forum... zoom just barely posted something today, but before that their last activity was in the beginning of june... wowzers
