I requently find the bassoon forum pretty quiet, but the oboe forum is usually more interesting than the bassoon forum anyway.

I've tried... But there just is not enough people.

I usually cruise around the flute forum more now...

life! yes! i've been on all day... and NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING!

<Added>

i honestly don't think it's gonig to pick back up. the oboe forum has died, and unless we can revive it.. i don't think much is going to happen for a long, long time. it could also be that since it's nicer out in some parts of the world that people are enjoying it instead of sitting on the computer talking about the oboe.. just a thought though.

Haha, I'm trying to get a recording on there too so everyone can hear it.. if only I can figure out how to get it into a different file. Right now it's under my brother's Zune files?? It used to be under my iTunes file, but something happened. I'm tryin to write something for oboe but it's not going to well. I guess now everyone knows I compose . I'll get something for oboe written soon. Then, everyone will be able to play it

It could be.. but I'm honestly not sure. I have no idea how to use the Zune software. I know I have a copy of it on iTunes, or I think I do. I'll have to check it out. I emailed the admin, so hopefully he can help.

Zune is a wannabe, you're right. No, I don't use Sibelius.. I find it too complicated (I have the demo of Sibelius 5). I use Finale PrintMusic 2006, but it's limited to a lot. Like I can only use 24 staves when I compose for full ensemble, and it's very tricky to fit a full orchestra into 24 staves.. lots of doubling on the same staff. I also cannot use cue notes for some reason.. but either way, I don't know how to make it so that I can put the sound recording on here. On iTunes it's an AAC file or converted AAC file (because the recording originally came from a CD.

<Added>

We got a new computer over the last year, so all my old Finale files were lost.. including Under the Shining Stars' synthetic recording. I have three copies of the score and parts (I was originally going to send it in for review and publication, but I sent it in for Manhattan Beach Music's composition contest)... Finale also has something called SmartLite Scanning or something like that, but I don't know how to use it. That might be able to get a SYNTHETIC recording of, but until I figure out how to use it.. the recording is a no go.
