Does anyone have a copy of the Mozart Oboe Concerto in C Major (K.314) that they'd be willing to send me via email? My Oboe teacher/friend is really upset because he can't find it and its his favorite piece ever. He refused to ask on here so Im asking for him. I've looked all over the internet and can't find a copy for him. If anyone would be willing to email me a copy please let me know.
He doesn't want to order online. He was actually hoping to just find a transcription online. I suppose if no one here has a copy they'd be willing to send me then I'll just tell him he'll have to order it.
Why shouldn't he pay for it like the rest of us? I know Mozart has been dead for a few years & is not bothered but musicologists & publishers have spent a lot of time producing modern editions & should be paid for their work. Passing round free copies, either electronically or photocopies of these editions deprives these people of their income & is against copyright laws.
Because he has no way of ordering online, is only 17, and the stores around here don't carry copies of it. There was no need to come off so harsh. Like I said if no one here was going to be nice enough to send me a copy to give him then I'd look elsewhere. I do not appreciate your comment.
Sorry, but I've never seen a free copy of this song. He could try ordering it by phone. Just call any larger music store and ask if they have it. Also, music stores should be able to order a song if they didn't have it and someone were to ask for it.
Sorry if you thought my comment harsh Prettybird but when I do get extremely annoyed with this culture of copying & free distribution of printed & recorded music. As somebody else said there are ways of obtaining music other than purchasing on the internet. Also doesn't this guy have parents who can help if he's only 17?
Yeah, but his parents are rarely at home... I might end up just getting it for him for christmas or something if he doesn't want to call around... /sigh he really should get a job or something...
