Stop buying this machine-crafted crap and start making your own. It is quicker to master than many think. I have never bought reeds but my teacher says that bought, machine-crafted reeds sucks.

new reeds haven`t ever been hard for me to break in. but rico reeds are hard to do anything with, they just plain suck! i think the best brand name reeds i`ve gotten are jones. but i`ve had my reeds made by my oboe teacher lately. i wish i could make my own. that`s the best way to get reeds i believe. can`t wait until i have time to learn too!
