Even though most of you are from the UK anyway, PLz state your name, country & city, bassoon brand and maybe your teacher if you like

Harley

Besson
John Cran-principal bassoon of the Sydney Symphony for 40 years

<Added>

Why did I think it was a besson? its a buescher, which normally makes saxophones. ANyway, I'm switching to the school's fox

Bassoon is stenciled "Imported by H.N. White, Cleveland". I believe it's probably a Schreiber or such from somewhere between 1916 and 1965. Hard to find info on.

Only playing as amateur and taking lessons from a local Amus.

<Added>

Got my reeds from Peter Masson.
Very nice.

<Added>

That's Peter Musson, not Masson.

Apologies

I absolutely love this bassoon, it's probably the best one out of the 7 I have seen and played. After a great many years, it's still in flawless condition on the inside (no scratches in wing) but the outside has taken some hits (saxophone pads...)
