Well, if you`re just starting off then `makes` aren`t too important. I started off with a 20-year old Getzen five years ago and have graduated to a brand-new Bach Omega. Just find a trumpet that WORKS and practice, then try to find a nice one.

its not that important when you start. But if you really plan to stick with it then Bach is always top notch, but they are expensive if brand new. I strated on an ancient King, like I said it doesn't matter a whole lot when your beginning.

Picking a horn also depends on what you plan on doing with it. If your planning to play for a long time hobby or possibly further, you may want to start out with a student Bach, Yamaha, or Getzen. I don't really reccomend Blessing because they aren't that great and do not retain any value if you wish to resell it later on. If you are getting one just to have, or because you have to (school, etc.) than you're probably better off just getting whatever is in your price range. I suppose Blessings might be ok for this. Student Bachs, Yamahas, Getzens, usually run anywhere from $400-$1000. Blessings about $200-$400.
