So I was just chatting lately and the topic of pro trumpets came up. I know the more popular ones like Bach Strads, Benge, Getzen and Yamaha Xenos.

I was wondering if you could just name some more good pro trumpets...maybe that you have, or just know about.
Also if you could tell a little about them like pros and cons.

Thanks!

I tried the Zeno and found it very good and 'correct', but it did not have the tone and bite for Big Band use that I wanted. I bought the Bobby Shew variant YTR6310Z plus later the Flugal version. This is a beautiful sounding Flugal. I tried various ones over the years and this is the first one I wanted to buy.

However if you are using it for classical the Zeno should be very good.

Hope this is of some help.

Malcolm
