I want to buy a new trumpet and I found a Jean Baptiste model tp680 Silver Tone for $350.
I want to know if Jean Baptiste a good company that make good quality trumpets??
Does Jean Baptiste compare to Getzen or Bach trumpets??

Would you say that I could get something better for $350 dollars or this model is good??

Thank you for help!!!!
Dave

I would suggest you stay with a name brand. Bach, Yamaha, etc. I played a Bach Strad 180s37 in college and loved it, so I am partial to Bachs. If you are wanting to stay in that 350. price range look for a good used trumpet, again name brand and make sure you play it before you purchase. Good luck, Hope this is helpful.

hey, I began playing on a cheap model (don`t even know the brand) and got a professional bach strad my freshman year of highschool and love it! They`re expensive though, and not even the best you can get right now. The most popular I`ve seen lately have been Schilke`s (sounds like shulkee). if I were you i`d decide how much of a long term thing this trumpet would be. If you just want to start out and learn the basics I would go with a cheap name brand you recognize...
