hi all
i'm in a band at the moment and would like some advice re our trumpet players sound. it sounds 'off' but dont know why. I'd like to find out whats amiss and help them. I'm unsure as to how to link to a recording but heres a v similar sound i came across on a web search.
I hope someone can help, many thanks

Did you try sliding the tuning slide ?

It's interesting that most musicians learn music in this order-

1. the correct fingering and the correct harmonic.
2. the beginning of a note and the end.
3. the dynamics of the note.

and somewhere down the list they work for the correct intonation.

Have your players buy and use a tuner before the next gig.
