The range of the trumpet is about three octaves and a bit more, but we have so little classical pieces for it, why?
The violin, flute, cello all have so many pieces on their back, it's just amazing when we take in consideration the range of the trumpet, we should have so much more. Don't you all agree?

I know that the trumpet as we know started to exist only on the end of the classical period, so that's why we don't have many classical or baroque pieces for it. But we don't really have many romantic pieces as well. The trumpet has even lesser pieces than the guitar nowdays. There is so many people making transcriptions for the classical guitar right now, but not a single one making for the trumpet. I mean, why not? It has so much potential, it could play alot of violin, and flute pieces with easy.

True, but I'm sure there are lots of jazz pieces for trumpet. We are pretty much the leaders of the jazz band, right up there with the saxophone.
