Hey trumpeters... Please can you share your knowledge.. how are we supposed to play the song "Flight of the Bumblebee" ?? I don`t have the sheet music for trumpet but i have it for piano... i`m just transposing the piano version to B flat for trumpet... but i can`t seem to start playing even the first 4 bars... i heard it in the movie "Drumline" and it was pretty good...

kychiew -
What key is the part in for piano? Does it start on a high C? Traditionally, the piece is play starting on a first-line F (top of staff) or top-space E (top of staff). Transpose it from whereever it is to there and use a metronome to get it right. If you haven`t done Clarke studies, you`ll probably not be able to get it at first because you`ll have a tendency to be slow on some valve combonation changes.
Just start slow and methodically work it up to temp with a metronome - it`s a fun piece.
Good luck,
Cheers!

Have you ever heard Harry James play it! That`s a buzz.
There was sheet music around for it to that arrangement.
