Ok...my private oboe teacher said that it seems to her that there are alot of oboe players that also play soccer...i am trying to find out if this is true...if you are one of these peeps please speak out!!!!!

i play the flute which is almost exactly like oboe exept the reed (no read on flute, double reed on oboe) and the way we hold it but the fingerings are the same and the sound is almost the same. Yes i play side defense in soccer, i wanna learn oboe though. do you play soccer and no i cant tell you love and play the oboe

Their are no oboes in my band but all the alto saxs and the trombones are play lots of sports and the clarinets and flutes don't.

I am going to take oboe lessons over the Summer, and I hate soccer. I love Gymnastics though :D

Hey I play soccer and the oboe! I play soccer as...well...everything. I started playing soccer when I was three and been kicking butt ever since. I just started playing the oboe at the beginning of the school year. I'm first chair and going to try to make it stay that way. I've got a n oboe with a missing pad on the top trill key-a real pain! Eventually after searching hard for what was wrong with it, My dad found out about the missing pad and put some tape on it. Who knew? If I had a choice between soccer and the oboe, I would probably have a really hard time deciding. What would you pick???

I play oboe, but I've never really liked soccer that much. My personal favorite sport is volleyball. I can't really say anything about what sports oboists play because I am actually the only oboe in our band so...

hmm there are 2 oboe players in band at school, and neither of them play sports....accept for marching band where they play flute lol.

Could you please tell me what music has to do with sports? I know a lot of people who play many instruments and many sports as well. A friend of mine plays soccer for his college and also plays a great piano at parties.
