Man, that song emotionaly kills me (basically because it changed my life).
It might not be exactly what you want, but it is about suicide. The music video isn't as good as the song. In the song from the album, there is this part were the lead singer is yelling of few words, and that is not in the music video, and that almost changes the whole song. But the music video is still good.

leonard cohen singing 'hallelujah' is intensely sad
but aimee mann does a good job in 'wise up' as well
and oddly i find 'babe i'm gonna leave you' by led zeppelin pretty sad as well, though that could just be me...
anywho just putting things on the table, music is a majorly personal and emotive thing
after all aye, so there are tonnes of things that touch different people in different ways - which is why you'll get tonnes of replies to this :D
CrikY! Right everyone on this page, Let's get a little happier shall we? I suggest you all listen to the Pineapple rag after you've written your posts here to lift your mood. As for sad song, There Were Roses song by Ciline Dion is sooooooooo tragic.
Now of to The Pineapple Rag, Bye.
