I took piano lessons for a few years and I can read notes, and i know all the chords but I'm having difficulty playing by ear. I can pick out the melody (right hand) however my problem is putting it together with the left hand. Is there a science to it?

Any suggestions/advices/techniques are greatly appreciated!
