My little brother is really good at the trombone, so i'm trying to get him to teach me.
It's pretty fun! I like playing brass instruments. That just makes me want to learn every wind instrument.

Q: have you ever tried the bass clarinet mouthpiece on the trombone?

Well, I remember mucking around with a "clari/bone" in band many years ago. The mouthpiece wasn't a natural fit so we had to make do with gaffer tape and whatever.
*thinking* – if you were going to do this "properly", you'd want some provision for speaker key/s to assist in obtaining the upper harmonics ... so, ideally, the slide would be positioned further away from the mouthpiece. Hmmm. Also, I guess the tube overblows the twelfth rather than the octave ... hmmm again.
Anyhow, I seem to remember a fairly Jurassic result. (Keep in mind that a trombone starts with 9' of tubing. Cf.: contrabass clarinet.)

playing the trombone is really easy, and u shouldnt put a bass clarinet mouth piece in a trombone it sould relly damage the instrument

I think I'll just use my trombone mouthpiece...
Okay. Right now I know how to play Bb, F, E, and Eb, sort of. I'm going to be able to play sort of good eventually!
If I had someone with more experience on the trombone teaching me, I'd be better off. My brother's really awesome, but he only has almost two years (WOW!) of experience.
