hey everybody. My name is Alex Slomka. I just recently made a myspace page of my trombone playing. I'm currently a junior at the Crane School of Music, and I wanted to hear what others thought. I'm specifically big on jazz and would like to hear what you all think of that especially. Let me know!

The music pages still do. You can upload tracks easily and its free. I made one just to put a small collection of recent playing to try to get feedback and to send to family members etc.

Hi Alex,

Just heard your blowing on Kids R Pretty people. Lovely improvisation. As with my own playing, the technical fluency comes second to my musical ideas. A few things that may help you.

a. One airstream thoughout each phrase.
b. Wrist movement for one position each way. For longer movements, a swift 'classical' slide movement. If your not sure, ask a straight player!
c. Clean 'dah' tongue.

d. Re. range. Caruso 6 notes.
Charles Colin slurring exercises. All at comfortable quiet-ish volume.

e. Maggio is good to keep low range connected.

f. I'm still working on it!
