I`m looking into buying a soprano trombone (slide trumpet). I was just going to go with the jupiter 314-L (as pictured here: <http://www.wwbw.com/Item/?itemno=34994>. Does anyone know if there is some brand in particular that makes good sopranos or if the jupiter would be a wise purchase? I don`t really know much about the soprano market. I usually play on a Conn 100H tenor bone. I`m looking to spend a max of $350. Oh, And the purpous of getting this trombone is just for fun; maybe for my ska band.

Soprano trombones are very cool. There is not much literature out there for them though. If you do find the lit. it would be in Soprano or treble clef. For fun, I would love to waste $350... I have played off one one jupiter in my life. And I liked it. But I would also like to suggest the Edwards or Getzen whichever they decide to put it under. That company is very good at making wonderful sounding horns.
