Right now im using a glen cronkhite case. Its a double gig bag which i carry my bass and tenor with me at all times. Good case FOR ME. no real protection though...

I LIKE a bag called the "gig" bag. it looks liek a mini surfboard case. its neat.

BUT if you are looking for protection i would get like a SKB case. good solid cases.

www.hornguys.net good site for all kind of trombone goods.

I`ve been a fan of Reunion Blues bags for a while, but again, not as much protection as a traditional hard case. GIG bags are great, especially for the backpack style hookup.

Woodwind Brasswind has them also.

reunion blues quality has gone down GREATLY in the recent year(s) because of the fact they are no longer made to the quality that cronkhite made when he WORKED for reunion blues. If you are looking for a good reunion blues style case i still say go through cronkhite.

Anyone have any recommendations for hard cases that have a backpack strap feature?

I have the "gig"bag mentioned above and here is what i think. For ocasional use it is great. as a replacement case...no way. It is to soft and if (as happened to me) it gets bumped (by a drumer unloading a snare drum stand) It can do dammage(to your brand new 88h cl gsx) and you might not be able to fix(the huge crease in the bell) it.

You could check out Absolute Case, http://www.absolutecase.com. They have a lot of good deals there and most of the time free shipping.
