Hi,
I`ve been playing the violin for ten years and I don`t want to give it up but I`m not really sure where I should go from here.
I played mostly in school and now that I have graduated (a couple years ago) I don`t really have any outlets. I absolutely love playing and I still practice, but without any further lessons and nowhere to play I`m stagnant. I thought I might play for the community college, which I am attending, but they have absolutely no violin or orchestra related classes. It`s enough to make me scream!
I`ve been told I play beautifully, but as a musician I feel guilty because the pices I play are fairly easy (so of course they sound good) I`m not being challenged. I`ve been told I should play for weddings and special occasions, but I am not sure I`m good enough. Where should I go from here????

Sounds like maybe you should consider going to college to study music. If you want to be challenged, and miss playing, this would help with both. Good luck!
