How are you supposed to reach higher positions with a less than big span?

How are you supposed to reach higher positions with a less than big span? 14:11 on Monday, November 20, 2006

Hi!

I just learnt 5th position and my postion book says the thumb needs to stay on the neck even when playing 7th ect. postion

How are you supposed to do this?

You must need like, elephantitis or something

hey
your thum does stay on the neck but you slide your thum down the neck.
