Hi! My name is aKari.
I have been playing piano for about 9 years.
I would like to learn to play the violin.
I don't think there are any violin teachers in my area.
Is there a book, DVD, or a web-site I should get to teach my self how to play the violin?
It sounds like it could be risky.
Should I find a teacher?

There are ones that try to teach you how to play the violin. But chances are you are going to learn incorrectly without a teacher? Where do you live (like a major city near you). Because if you have a college around you with a music dept, there are violin teachers in your area.

thers some listings on utube....u might wanna check there but nothin beats the real thing.
