Hi,
I have just bought a violin and am looking for a teacher - I have found a few just need to actually arrange a lesson! I have always wanted to play so will work hard until I get it!
I am still learning to read music, but am slowly getting there, but I just can't seem to get my head about scales and how to use the bow.
I know lessons will teach me this, but I was wondering if there are any tips, or good websites people know for beginners?

You should find a teacher at some music school. They use to have private lessons there. Or else you maybe could find some teacher in your school. Good luck!

Okay the bow and scales. Scale are probebly one of the eisiest thing to learn but it deppends how you where explaind. I cant really explain anything because i just know how to play them. But I will do some reserch and see how i can help you with scales.
Bowing is one of the most trickiest things to learn when your a beginer. your bow should stay between the finger bord and the bridge. To hold the bow your thumb should be sitting on the bump on the frog. It should be going out wards a happy thumb. The next three fingers should be esting on the sid o the frog and the pinly should be sitting on top of the frog. For more tips on violin check my page and lets become friends.
