I just got a violin and i was wondering if i should get a teacher or just teach myself. But if i need a teacher how much would it cost?

You should probably get a teacher because there are some hand positions and bowings that will be hard to master. It also depends on how serious you are though. If you are only going to practice once a month, I wouldn't get a teacher.

It depends on where you live to how much a teacher is going to cost.
I think it cost like $12-$15 for a half and hour over in American... idk where u live.
Oh and yeah, take the other guys' adive, if you want to learn correctly, get a good teacher.
The reason you want to learn correctly is becuase it will make it less frusterating in the long run.
If you learn incorrectly and try to advance, its just going to make you discouaged to play.

if you are serious then you should get a techer, because just like that oter said its going to be hard to learn several things on your own. well actually there is a lot of things that you probably wont learn without a teacher. try checking our this website
