though yamaha has some good stuff, try checking out the Zeta electric violins. now those are something to admire. expensive, but its all worth it

oh sorry i didnt read that part about you wanting something below the thousands... i dont know if Zeta has anything that low lol. Try yamaha or Rave. as for anything you would have to browse on the internet
