I really REALLY need help with this one!!!! I can do staccato, I can even do spicatto but I can't do up-bow staccato and its something I've been trying to do for the past month. I know it might be hard to explain but is there a website I can go to or tips. (I would ask my teacher but I haven't been able to have lessons for awhile)
There are three different kinds of wrist movements that work for this technique. But you must be patient and practice the motions slowly and diligently. Developing a good spiccato and staccato technique takes a lot of time and patience and isnt something you can achieve over night.
try this site for some basic exorcises as it would be to hard for me to explain the different motions lol. Plus you would probably prefer a visual explanation
