I have been wondering for a while-- violins with Maestro in the title-- does this necessarily mean that they are a master's violin? Also, what is a good price range for master's violins? Probably most of the best are around 5,000- 10,000? Does anyone have suggestions?

you can't know the value of your violin just by the label alone.

you could have a violin by an amazing luthier and yet it could have lost value over years due to damage or anything really.

or you could have a "factory violin" which is worth quite a lot because of it's condition.

i have a violin which, from my research, is a French factory violin and probably prices about $4,000.

though i can't be certain of it's exact value.

the BEST way to find the true value of your instrument is to get it properly appraised. which you can only do in person. you can't tell the value of the instrument just by photos or the label alone.
