right now i`m working on pieces from "requiem for a dream" [finally got the sheets] and i just borrowed from my teacher some pieces of the Beatles so right now i`m playing really good music and it`s still fun

LOL...I`m loving it. I just got the bug, well it`s been a long time coming. I`m 24 and look to get started by the end of the month.
Always wanted to learn a string instrument and was particular to the Cello but finances dictate otherwise so I`ll pick another dream...the violin!

just as same as me i also wanted to play cello, but the price range was really not for my pocket. But right now i know, that i`ve made the right choice violin rule

It might be harder for you to learn because of the fact that you are older but dont let that stop you from trying. I say go for it!
