www.folkofthewood.com seemed to have good lessons.....
i do not have any background in music and i am planning to start learning the violin.....is it a very difficult instrument to learn playing? for what amount of time should i make a decent effort, before abandoning the attempt to learn playing the violin?

Violin are not an instrument to learn online....it`s not so easy. If you really want to learn, try to find a teacher and drill. Papa

yes you cant realy lern online! it is even hard w/ a teacher. go and find a violin techer all you need is a half an hour lesson and that is like um 15.00 not bad so do that then you also can join there orchetra if you dont know how to find one call the nerest school or colledge and they may give you lessons. i do mine at a colledge and i am 11!!!!!!
