I just started cello and wuold like to know the names of the strings in order of smallest to biggest and also 1) which note the open strings are on the piano 2) where it is on music lines

hi. the strings from highest pitch to lowest pitch are A, D, G, and C.

By size, the thickest is C, next thickest is G, the second skinniest is D, and the smallest string is A.

Yes, thats right, the thinnest string is A, the one after that is D, the next one is G and the thickest one is C. To remember it there is a lil thing u can say, its a sentence giving u the order of the strings, the sentece is "All Doors Go Creek" see? A D G C
