For what I saw, the only thing I didn`t like is mostly that`s it`s Laminated. Cellos were never meant to be laminated. At high School and Middle school when I was in strings class just about all the cellos were laminated and the lamination always came off (it came off easy with your fingernails). So in other words, the lamination is hard and brittle and makes the cello sound bad. If the cello is not varnished, then dont get it.

Well lets just put it this way, for the same amount of money you could find something better. Look for cellos for the same amount of money and get the one that`s not laminated. I don`t think it really matters if your a beginner or not. If you want to get a more expensive higher quality cello, then do so. If you can`t afford a good cello, then you cant help that. I mean your not just going to forget about the cello, are you?

In case you did want to sell it!

#1. Cellos never lose there value(unless it`s damaged LOL).
#2. Cellos along with other stringed instruments can last well over a hundred years.
#3. Not like it matters, but the older a cello gets the much better it sounds.(It would take a long time for a bad sounding cello to sound good)
