I'm looking to buy a cello (for my daughter) and deciding between a student outfit (new) or a second hand one (advertised but we haven't been to look yet) which has no label but is reported to be in good condition (no cracks pegs ok) It was apparently made in the UK and has been used for orchestral playing. It comes with bow and hard case. My daughter plays violin and has progressed from cheaper student outfits to a more decent instrument now, but although we have some knowledge of what to look for in a violin, cello is totally new to us! Does anyone have any advice on things I should consider when weighing up the two options Thanks
