Can you read any treble clef? or are you starting from scratch?

practice your major scales and do "shakes" start with 4, then go to 6, then 8, 10, 12 14 & by the time youve gotten to 16 you should have a relatively well developed vibrato (there are other things too, but that helps develop it)

im in highschool and ive been playing cello for less than one year, and my music director wants us to play Russlan and Ludmilla by Glinka
first off it is a very difficult piece
but to make it harder, at about measure 90 the piece for cellos goes from Bass Clef to Treble Clef
this switch happens once or twice in the piece for ~10 measures at a time
i have barely grasped bass clef and i have no clue what to do with treble clef...please help me!!!

Treble clef is not that hard to read like an open d string its on that line if it would say treble the d would be B. So its like moveing notes down from bass to treble.

james,
If you look on that happynote website. On the first treble clef line, the Orange A(the first A) is the A-string, the blue-B is your first finger(on the A-string) and so on. The second orange A is harmonic, the E after it is harmonic and the A after the E is also harmonic.
In case you don`t know what harmonic means, if you play the second A-note with your bow, but barely press the string(A-note) with your finger, it will produce a very smooth A-note, many other will be scrathy. There are other harmonic notes, that was just a example.
