ok guys i need help. ok i really wanna play guitar, my idol is missy higgins. how do i learn off internet or books? gimme sites or book names and ill be happy. my family cant really afford for me to play guitar from a teacher coz i got o an expensive school, and i play the flute and piano and i do musicianship. so my dad tried to teach me and he SUX. so please help guys! i need it! thanks

Hi there. I think that to play guitar well, you should have a good classical base. I've learnt off Solo guitar Playing books 1 and 2- Frederick Noad. It's a really fantastic book. Afterwards, you'll find other types of music much easier to play.
Of course you can learn off the internet, but that will require more searching for those elusive sites, you know what I mean?

You don't need someone or something to teach you. Just figure out how to read tabs, and practice tabs of the songs you like. Trust me, your gunna suck at first, but you get better pretty fast. Thats how I learned. Im doing pretty good, and I've barely been playing a year.
