hey everyone...i have just been given a hammond organ for free!!!
i know it seems mad but it was being got rid of and they basically said if you can arrange a van to pick it up within a week then it won't end up getting smashed and put on the rubbish dump! and i really couldn't let that happen.
ok so a few questions...firstly how can i find out what model it is??? it says rhythm II towards the top...however some research on the internet has not yielded any information to say that there ever was a model by this name? the bit on the top where it says this looks like it (could have been) an add on section to produce rhythm tracks, and not part of the original organ...also typing that model name into google brings up information about a hammond product (hammond rhythm II) but not a full organ console??? i can't find any other model numbers or names...and i can't find a serial number anywhere to find out from?
also it has oiling instructions on the back i assume this means that it does work by means of a tone wheel generator (i understand some hammonds don't!)
any information anyone might be able to give me would be really helpful...what ever it is it sounds beautiful...!
