I'm new to sheet music, and I'm reading sheet music for piano, and there is this division sign that pops up...what does it mean? It looks like a traditional division sign, aka the */.(similar to the percentage sign - %)
i know there is music in the measure, but instead this sign is there. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you!

the % as u described mean repeat the previous bar so if you see the % sign in 2 bars just means you repeat the previous bar twice
