Where does the difficulty of the lesson books (Grade 3, 4, 5 and higher) fit in with all other piano pieces out there?

I`ve been playing for a little over a year and I`m near the end of the Thompson Third Grade book. Just wondering because I`m curious.

im thinking its probly like the royal conservatory books? i dont know, if it is, they are really good. they take a really long time, but by going through them will help you develop excellent technique. im sure its like the same thing... if its not, i would probly suggest that you switch to royal conservatory, because royal conservatory is the most excepted series, and it would most likely be more worth while.
