ok....r cymbols supposed to hurt?!?!?!?!
see I got into this drumline and now play cymbols. The top one kinda "digs" into my stomach (that's how its supposed to be)and the bottom slides out a little more and doesn't touch me. now whenever i play them i have a dark red mark. any way to stop that?!?!?!?!?

The only way is to hold them away from your body but then it's harder to get the desired "chink" sound. Like any other percussion-related wound it will get better after a while. Soon you probably won't even notice it, that is except for the occasional pinch on the side. It'll be fine.

ive been playin cymbols for over 6 years now. but im not playin them on the drumline. i get the biggest bass drum 4 that. trust me the pain will go away for u but not for me.

Yes but the pain of the lowest bass drum is worth it to be able to make the beastliest, farthest carrying sound in the entire band.

maybe........but i am the only girl on the drum line and they put me on the biggest bass..... i prefered cymbols or the quads.
