does it seem whenever a music teacher or suck on asks for "saxes" to play she or he means altos? DISCRIMINATION!

Yea! Like in a recent band class, our director asked to hear the saxes concert Gb....so we all played (4 altos, 2 tenors, 2 baris). So then the director chews us out b/c she wanted to hear tenors only!

Lol, that's kinda funny. My band director always specifies which ones he wants, and when he wants all of the saxes he'll say "all the saxes."

yeah well your band director is cool.
i joined band a year late (which doesent happen much)
and she says saxes play, but i didnt know what she meant so i played. now i actually gotta put my hand up so she'll say if its me or not cause she switches it around.
sometimes she wants me to play...
sometimes she doesent.

Our band director is specific when he wants cetain instuments to play. But most of the time he reffers to the altos because we only have one tenor sax and one bari sax playing with a group of four altos...
