Have any of you guys ever participated in a state band?? Like CBDA (California Band Directors Association) or CMEA (Clifornia Music Educators Association), or even from another state??
I'm just wondering because CMEA is having a state-wide solo ensemble on May 12 and I was hoping you guys had any suggestions for me...

I want to try out for the florida state band next year. Can anyone tell me what it takes. and isn't their a district band also?

ya i have like i have tried out of ecmea (eire county music ass.). i got in and performed the concert in march.. now im just doing reg. nyssma. not all state this yr. b/c im a senior. but yrs past i have tried out. to

thats awesum.. on my nyssma solo.. i got an 100 when my teacher called me telling me that i fliped out.. i was proud of my self.. of course i knew the judge cuz i always have her.. she knows my playing to.
