My friend Jay owns a straight bari sax. It's really a sight. Some of the notes are a little out of tune, and the lower register tone quality is slightly off from an ideal bari sax, but it has one of the best upper registers I've ever heard on a bari.

The cool thing about the straight saxes is that it's not as hard to play lower notes because the air goes straight through the sax, while on the curved saxes the air has to change direction to follow the shape of the sax.

i also hate the stereotype on bari players. i'm also a bari player and i am not stupid or fat or huge. in fact i'm a girl who's bari is bigger than her. and no that doesn't make me another lisa simpson. but seriously bari players aren't stupid. and i play really good anyways. so that stereotype on bari players is just plain !****!ed

LOL.
the jokes are funny.
but i know lots of saxophonists bagging out bass clarinetists.

and the stereotypes in sax is true, in our school bands.
i am fat, and i know the other person that plays bari is small coz im taller than him and hes a senior.
