What are your thoughts about the Selmer Mark VI and the Selmer Paris Reference 54?

I feel like the references were decent copies, but nothing compares to a Mark VI. Ever. I would get one in a second if my budget allowed and I could find one in decent condition. People need to stop relacquering them. Goddamnit it ruins the horn!

I did'nt know i ruined the horn.
I must tell my friend, she plays a Mark VI

Part of what made the Mark VI so great was the type of lacquer they used. When you get it relacquered the value of the horn plummets.
