Who else is just IN LOVE with their bari?? Really random topic but I just started playing the bari since mid- january and it just is amazing! Your in the woodwinds but you always get the low tuba parts. You could be part of the melody with the other saxes or just another low (almost to say sexy) voice on the low brass line. IT'S AMAZING!!.... now all i need to do is to get my band director to let me march it... of course that would never happen! 1st he says that you will get spinal bifida from it 2nd im like 5'0" and the bari is what 4'5" so chances are that i couldn't last marching long with it... but just think, there is a little 5ft girl standing on the football field with a giant bari! wouldnt that be awesome!! ahh well... a girl can dream right??

hey girl chilax im like 5 foot 4 mabye and i play the bari too. what type of strap do you have? do you have the regular kind that goes around your neck? if so then yeah you probly will get whatever your instructer sad and second of all no offense to your instructer but he is full of crap. ok just go for the it and if you fail oh well. shoot im in the eight grade and i take private lessons and am really darn good. the high school band instructer heard me only once and loved me. my dad showed me this sight to talk to other bari players and now i found alot f other girl players and its pretty chil. to tell you the truth my instructer sucks. she obviously doesnt know a good bari sax player when she hears and sees one. lol. but anyways i love my bari too. im getting a new one. the cannonball shadow! ohhhh!!! it is sweet!!!!!!!!!!! and in my budget. ( or my parents) well ttyl

Thats awesome... yeah... my director is pretty lame... he still thinks that even if you wear a harness you will still mess up your back... i say to heck with it... ill get whatever he thinks ill get but ill do it anyways... but alas... i cannot... he wont even let me try, he wont let anyone try... i have tried on many occasions... at this point i dont even care if im on the bari or not, JUST SOMEBODY!! im slowly breaking him... i can tell... whats that site your were talking about... sounds neat... hope your sax is everything you wanted... a bari is way to expensive for me!
