Hi,
Im a sophmore in High School and our Jazz Band is playing Harlem Nocturne. The ending note is an altissimo A and im not sure if im hitting it. The music says the fingering is the last two fingers of the left hand and the F-E-D keys of the right hand. I can get a high sound out if im using a fresh Vandorean 3, but im not sure if its an A or a squeak.......any help?

hi harlem---
i`ve been practicing altissimo for about a month now. playing it is somewhat very difficult. to get A, just simply press G without B, plus the register. i`m not sure if you understand what i`m saying. it`s so hard to explain it in computer. how would you produce the sound? i loosen my mouth to play clear altissimo. hope this helps. sorry...

Hope this info isn`t too late. Here is a link to the 1 alto part and the fingering for the high A is denoted at the bottom of the second page
