well rico royal is a much better quality reed then rico but the other brand u mention is better then the rico line and the diffrence between 2 2.5 3 3.5 thoughs are the strengths of the reeds if ur just starting out u want tobe on about a 2 2.5 but if ur at the high school level u should be on a 3 or some move up to a 3.5
