I found that instead of taking a quick pause in blowing to play the same note more than once it sounds better to tap the next hole down or in the case of the last hole quickly lift then cover again. Is there other ways besides this and is this a legitament way of playing the same note in a row?

iand most recorder players tend to use there toung to block the mouthpiece in between the notes this gives a more distinct stop and start than just pauseing the flow of air...also if you almost speak the word tooooo into the recorder instead of just blowing that helps. its kinda hard to explain what i mean...practise and it will come to you

to go between notes just form the too shape in your mouth, and repeat for each note, like too too too too.
