I have a recorder that's been stuffed in my closet for years and I was wanting to play it again. It's been quite a while and I'm not even sure if I remember how to play. Any tips on getting a nice sound? Currently I have a dinky little plastic one that I got in elementary school but I'm upgrading soon. Anyways, any tips on getting a nice sound? Or really any other tips on playing would be great! Thanks all! =)

Here's a few tips that probably apply to any instrument, but I found to stand out more on recorder:

- The recorder is a very mellow instrument, so always be careful not to overblow; doing so will result in a tone that's rather ugly and a bit flat.

- Keep the fingers close to the holes to allow for smooth and quick note changes.

Hope these help you out!
